Description of Buffer Tanks

The buffer tanks (also thermal storage) from ZILONIS Energy Solutions are individually designed and manufactured according to your specifications. With us, you don't receive simple series vessels, but individual solutions for your needs. We are flexible in diameter and overall height and also manufacture the internal fittings for stratification exactly according to your specifications - whether nozzle pipes, pipe bends, baffle plates, or stratification plates.

Our buffer tanks (thermal storage) are manufactured according to customer specifications and individual drawings. All our thermal storage tanks are calculated and manufactured according to AD2000 regulations, even if they fall under PED 2014/68/EU Art. 4.3. Therefore, we can also equip the thermal storage tanks with CE marking without great effort upon your request.

In cooperation with the preliminary inspection bodies of notified bodies and various engineering offices, we also prepare additional calculations for your thermal storage upon request, e.g., stability tests for seismic zones or wind loads, nozzle loads, or threshold loads.

We process all common materials of boiler construction:

Furthermore, we can also supply all vessels made of equivalent ASME materials (e.g., SA516 Gr.60).

Dimensions

• Wall thicknesses from 4mm to 20mm

• Diameter from pipe size to 3200mm

• Vessels up to a unit weight of 12 tons

Design and Engineering

Thanks to modern calculation programs, we determine the required wall thicknesses for your vessel already in the quotation phase and can precisely design the vessel in the project phase. All vessels are designed and calculated according to AD2000 or EN 13445 regulations.

Our vessels are individually manufactured, which enables us to check every nozzle position and make spontaneous changes during production. As a traditional family business, our flexibility is your advantage.

Optional: Tank Insulation

Optionally, we can also provide our buffer tanks with insulation. It doesn't matter to us whether you need soft foam insulation (PU soft foam or fleece insulation according to DIN 4102 B1) for indoor areas or mineral wool insulation with metal cladding for outdoor installation. Please contact us! Together with our partners from the region, we offer you insulation for your needs.
